Cicero Technology / How Do We Do It

Integrate Your Applications without Touching Them

The Cicero integration process consists of four basic steps:

  • Document the process to be integrated.
  • Describe the application interface.
  • Configure the workflow.
  • Deploy an integrated desktop to users.

The Cicero Integration Process

Document - During the documentation step, we work with our customers to document business processes; the applications and the data that are currently being used and other requirements. This step focuses on the business driving the solution, not the technology.

Describe - Using built-in wizards in Cicero Studio, the integrator creates a logical model or “map” of each applications' elements or objects such as entry fields, buttons, and events such screen clicks. These logical models are created without having to modify or access the source code of any application.

Configure - After mapping each application, the integrator describes the event-driven workflow using wizards and high-level commands “plugging in” the mapped applications as needed. During this step the integrator can also create a task-oriented skin using a graphical layout editor.

Deploy - The final step is to generate the necessary runtime files and distribute the package to desktops and/or servers. Once Cicero is deployed, the integrator can easily change the enterprise desktop, plug-and-play new applications, and make other changes to meet business requirements.
